Tens x Transy
Tens x Transy is a ten minute play festival put on by Theatre Guild. It gave many students the opportunity to act, write, and direct ten minute plays. We had several new faces try out for roles, as many of the more seasoned performers stepped into the role of production.
Every one of the shows was completely student done, from typing the first word to curtain on closing night. We even had a submission from a local high school make the cut (Baby Bumping)!
An experiment put on by Theatre Guild, Tens x Transy was a huge success, selling out every night it ran. People in attendance loved the pace of the festival and the wide range of appeal that the various shows held.
The festival was so successful, in fact, that people have been asking when the next one will be held, either to be performers in or to come and watch their friends. The constant requests have made it increasingly likely that we will be doing something very similar in the coming years, so stay tuned to see what comes of that!
